Rumours were circulating at Shrewsbury last night that City are ready to snap up striker Grant Holt.
Holt has been linked with the Canaries this summer and was made unavailable to play for the Shrews in their friendly with West Brom last night.
When asked about the Norwich link, Shrews manager Paul Simpson simply replied that Holt was unavailable to play.
The Canaries' protracted chase for Simon Whaley is also ongoing, as City's new “robust” procedure for medicals continues to delay the player's unveiling.
Winger Whaley's move from Preston, believed to be for around 150,000, could well be rubber stamped at a press conference tomorrow.
