Soham 1, Diss 2
Diss knew that defeat would mean relegation and therefore it was no surprise that they started the match nervously. It took until the 29th minute before there was a meaningful shot on goal and it saw Diss take the lead. Ollie Savage picked up a loose ball in the centre of the pitch and released Mark Angel on the right wing. He moved forward and played a perfect pass for Jamie McManus to beat Lee Jordan at this near post from five yards out. Chances came at both ends on a more regular basis in the second half. Angel hit the post for Diss and Paul Hill the crossbar for Soham. Diss went 2-0 ahead in the 68th minute when Danny Partridge moved on to a through ball before laying the ball off for Angel to beat the defender and shoot in from 15 yards out. Four minutes from time Soham pulled a goal back when Paul Jones shot in to a cross from the right wing to set up a nervous finish for the Tangerines.
