BOHEMIANS U11 GIRLS: The rain was the real winner. In atrocious conditions and missing key players Bohs faced a determined North Walsham. In very difficult conditions Bohs still created many golden chances but, due to a combination of inspired goalkeeping and poor finishing, were able to convert only five into goals. Scorers were Briarnie with four and Millie one. Millie took the player of the match award with her all-action performance. Team: Olivia, Antonia, Georgia, Millie, Briarnie, Rhianna, Jordan and Indianna. Next match Norwich City at home, New Road, Belton.

BOHEMIANS GIRLS U12 played Swanton Herons and won 9-0. Molly was strong up front getting into space and creating plenty of chances for goals. Zoe, Martha and Leanne were again solid in midfield, all working up and down the field together and playing some fantastic football. They had to work hard as Swanton's defence was strong. Millie and Dayna are new to the team, finding their feet and trying hard to score. Nicole and Megan are unbreakable working together and becoming stronger each game, Nicole had many chances at goal from halfway line. Jackie, a great keeper, has come on so well and made some fantastic saves. The team wish Toni a quick recovery. PoM: Megan.

BOHEMIANS U13 GIRLS beat Bungay 5-2 away and gave a much better performance. Bohs played some good football and passed the ball quickly, which gave a good Bungay team problems for most of the game. Bungay were strong in midfield, so Bohs reacted by playing the ball out wide at every opportunity. Half-time the score was 2-0 to Bohs with goals from Courtney. The second half saw no let up in the pace of the game. Bohs scored a third goal through Hannah. Bungay fought back with two quick goals, one a penalty which Molly nearly saved. At 3-2 Bohs pressed forward and scored two more goals, one by Tink and one from Jess. The pick of these was Tinks' 20-yard free-kick into the top left corner. CAISTER U12 played against Gorleston Rangers U12A in the preliminary round of the cup on Sunday. Gorleston struck first within three minutes with a fine shot. It was quite an even match. Half-time score Caister 0, Gorleston 1. The second half saw good runs from Bradley Stark and Daniel in defence and Caister wentclose to scoring several times. James Smith pushed forward and had good solo runs, putting pressure on the Gorleston defence and came close to scoring a very good goal. Gorleston had a period where they dominated and scored a second goal with 15 minutes to go. Caister pushed Daniel in to midfield. Miles worked hard and was rewarded with a great finish, bringing the score to Caister 1, Gorleston 2 with five minutes left. More pressure was piled on by Caister and Daniel had a great shot after a great run, which the keeper pushed to the side for Bradley Rowand to square the ball back for Bradley Baker to make the final score 2-2 and force a penalty shoot out which went to sudden death, where Gorleston won 4-3.. Great performance in goal by Kayne who saved three of the Gorleston penalties. MoM: Bradley Stark. Goals: Miles Holmes, Bradley Baker, Bradley Stark, William and Bradley Rowand.

COBHOLM BOYS U9 entertained a good Martham side in the first round of the cup. With the weather really bad, both teams did their clubs proud and it was Cobholm who ran out 2-1 winners. Martham went 1-0 up on the stroke of half-time. In the second half Cobholm came back fighting and Will F equalised. With Jordan playing in goal for the second half, Keanan dropped back into defence with Mazie, who had an excellent game, staying strong. Cobholm were attacking a lot more and Will F scored his and Cobholm's second. The ball hit William M in the face before falling to Will to finish. Jacob did well as always down the wing. The last few minutes were nail-biting but all Cobholm players kept their heads and did everyone proud. Thanks to Martham for an excellent match and to the parents who helped with the goals and who stayed at the end to help again. Training 10am Saturday. MoM: Whole team.

GORLESTON FC U11 are seeking a couple of players to and join theirr friendly bunch of lads to play Division One football. They need a striker, defender and a midfield/defender. GORLESTON FC U16 are seeking a new goalkeeper as super Sam has left for Richmond Academy. Good luck to him but it leaves a hole in the team. If you think you match up call Daren on 01493 604654 or 07535 696819. A striker is also needed. The squad trains Thursdays 7.30-9pm and Saturday 12.30-2pm.

HEMSBY HORNETS U9 STINGERS played at home in the cup against Bungay A on Sunday. Hemsby started well but Bungay were fast on the break, testing the defence and the keeper. Archie G in goal again made some excellent saves at the feet of the Bungay attack while Jim was absolutely solid in defence. With one sub and the poor conditions, the midfield of Kahn, Ben, Archie S and Tom were rotated frequently and they kept their position well. Combined with some good passing and tackling, they created several chances during the first half and with Calum up front they were unlucky not to score. With the wind and rain behind them second half, Hemsby continued to find things difficult against excellent defending. Having come back from illness and injury, Archie S and Ben gave excellent performances. Jim picked up an injury second half leaving Kahn and Ben to take turns at the back. Following his injury from last week, Archie G continued to be impressive in goal while Calum, Tom and Archie created numerous chancesf. In the dying moments and with penalties looming, Archie S scored a great goal, giving Hemsby the win. Kahn was given man of the match for his excellent performance overall. Special thanks from all of the team to the many spectators who braved the conditions as well as to the opposition and Alan the referee who contributed to a great game. HEMSBY HORNETS U10A played Burnt Hill in the cup. Just before kick off the heavens opened and it got heavier throughout the match. Hornetsd played great one-twos and carved out early chances. Following a goalmouth scramble Hadley had a couple of bites. Connor had a good effort come back off a post. Hornets took the lead when Sam's persistence paid off and he slotted the ball home. Some of the moves were superb and Hornets scored a second with a very good strike from Brennan from outside the area, following good work from Billy, Sam and Connor. Sloppiness led to 2-2 at half-time instead of being four or five up. In the second half Billy terrorised them down the wing and the inter passing with Hadley, Dominic and Connor led to good chances for Sam and Brennan. Following good play, Billy scored with a lovely finish for 3-2. Brady was commanding at the. Owen's kicks from his hands caused major problems and handling in the conditions was superb. Connor's corners were excellent and one forced penalty which Dominic smashed in for 4-2. Hadley went a mazy run, but just failed to score and Dominic's free-kick whistled wide. Again it was a team man of the match.

HEMSBY HORNETS U7B after a week off are back in action at home to Kirkley and Pakefield A this Sunday, kick off 12.30pm. Tommy will contact all players/parents.

HEMSBY HORNETS U9B played Gorleston Rangers D in the first round of the cup in horrendous weather conditions, parents from both teams undeterred from cheering on their boys. Hornets got an early goal and looked like running away with the game but Gorleston soon equalised and started to cause problems. The Hornets then scored second and third goals in quick succession just before the half-time whistle. Second half it was one-way traffic from the Hornets when they created many chances by passing and moving and movement off the ball. Goal scorers: Kristian 3, Jacob 3, Louis 2, Josh 2. Next game away to Loddon, ko 10.30am. Training Saturday morning weather permitting. All the Hornets showed great attitude wanting to get back on the pitch and battle the weather and win.

BLUNDESTON MAGPIES U11 were away to Hemsby Hornets. A depleted Magpies team progressed to the next round of the cup with a 4-2 victory in torrential rain. A big thank you to all the players and parents for turning out on a very wet morning. James scored very early from the edge of the box as Blundeston dominated in the opening minutes, followed by his second from close range. Hemsby were back in the game through a penalty scored by the home keeper. James completed his hat-trick from close range following a series of Magpies shots. The rain continued as Hemsby scored again early in the second half, James settled the tie with his fourth from Kieran's assist. Both teams deserve great credit for completing the match in such terrible conditions, players and parents all soaked to the skin.

BLUNDESTON MAGPIES U12 lost 2-0 to Kirkley & Pakefield U12. It was credit to both teams that they managed to play some neat passing football between the horizontal hail. Against the wind Magpies bossed the first half with Ally and Chopper in particular creating a hatful of excellent chances that remained unconverted. K& P were not in the game until the Magpies' midfield and defence became collective bystanders to allow four Kirkley players to remain unmarked as they fashioned the opening goal. Second half Magpies had the worst of the weather at their backs. Too many Magpies players went missing in the rain in the second half, leaving all the work to their team mates. Kirkley wanted the ball more and as a result scored a second goal. Patch, Chopper and a lively Freddie sporadically drove the Magpies forward and the central defensive pair of Cam and Harrison put up a blockade at the back. Harrison in particular was on fine form after getting off his sickbed to play. But it was not enough as Kirkley ran out deserved winners. MoM: Harrison.

ORMESBY welcomed Swindell to Station Road in the League Cup first round. The weather was absolutely diabolicle with wind and driving, heavy rain making playing conditions very difficult. Swindell coped with the conditions far better than Ormesby and soon took a three-goal lead with goals that Antonio had no chance in saving, due to the awful conditions. Ormesby rallied briefly when Ben pulled a goal back and Jamie made a couple of good runs ending with decent goal attempts. In the second half Andrew went into goal and made several good saves, but Swindell were able to score more goals despite some good defensive work from Brandon. Antonio was given a chance out on the pitch with Leon and they both had half-chances, but didn't really test the keeper. Jordan and Victoria found it hard going up front as they took their turns leading the line. Swindell were the better team on the day, but Ormesby must adapt to all weather conditions to give themselves a chance in the weeks ahead. Player of the Match. was Jamie who showed what he can do when he puts his mind to it. No game this week.

GORLESTON RANGERS U10A played in the cup against Waveney a on a windy and very wet morning. Straight from the start Rangers were in complete control putting Waveneys goal under pressure but couldn't find the back of the net with shots hitting the post and bar and near misses throughout the first half which somehow ended 0-0. The second half got under way as the rain and wind got heavier and with a rare attack on the Rangers' goal Waveney scored. Straight from the restart Rangers were raining shots on the Waveney goal and were level with a goal by Markus. Waveney scored two more against the run of play but Rangers soon pulled one back through Callum and were level again moments later when Alex scored from the spot. With all the pressure Rangers were putting on Waveney the game finished 3-3 resulting in penalties in which Rangers won 4-2 after TJ made up for mistakes with a save with his hands and face. The boys of TJ, Harrison C, Jayden, Hazza, Alex, Callum, Harrison T, Tyler L, Markus and Diogo never gave up in the extreme weather. MoM: The whole team.

GORLESTON RANGERS U10B played Sole Bay last Sunday. It was all about who could overcome the weather conditions and the Bs got off to another great start with Sam scoring the first. The Bs maintained the lion's share of the possession and a shot from the edge of the area from Ben took a slight defection and went in. Alex and Henry kept the pressure on the Sole Bay defence with Lewis working up front tirelessly. Sam nearly made it three, his shot just went wide. The second half saw the Bs kicking against the wind and driving rain. Shaun maintained concentration in goal with some good handling and clearing in difficult conditions but it was the outfield play that impressed. Luis and Lewis battled well and did not let the Sole Bay forwards have a sniff whilst Sam scored his second. This was followed by another goal scored directly from a corner by Aaron. With Sole Bay beaten Ben thumped in his second before Sam rounded of his hat-trick. In the dying seconds Sole Bay got a consolation goal making the score-line 6-1 to the Bs. GORLESTON RANGERS U12B hosted Burnt Hill in the cup qualifying round at Lynn Grove in horrible conditions. Rangers soon found themselves a goal down but did not let their heads drop and kept driving forward and were soon rewarded with Jack slotting away a right-foot shot to level the game. A re-arranged defence kept working hard and cleared their lines well. Before half- time Rangers were ahead with another goal from Jack, this time on his favoured left foot. A quick turn round was had at half time, Rangers now playing into the wind and driving rain. Rangers worked very hard all half, everyone closed down the opposition players and kept their chances to a minimum. Final score 2-1 to Rangers. This was a gutsy and determined performance, the effort and work rate was first class by all the team. Great defending and goalkeeping towards the end. The midfield supported the defence and strikers and the lone striker role worked well. Thanks to the parents for their magnificent support on the day. Man of the match is the whole team.

GORLESTON RANGERS U13A entertained a spirited Kirkley B and made it through to the next round of the League Cup with a 6-2 victory. Against a strong wind first half Rangers fell behind, before Callum Batley drew Rangers level. An unfortunate bounce assisted by the wind meant that Rangers went in at half time 2-1 down. Second half was all Rangers. Although theye struggled to get the ball down and play in the conditions, when theye did play football they created numerous chances. From a Rangers corner quick thinking from Jay Turner saw him turn two players before sending in a low drive that eluded all in the box and got Rangers back on level terms. This was soon followed by the free-scoring Joe McCabe who linked up well with a number of players and got his reward with four excellently-taken goals. The hard-working Cameron Brooks in central midfield won man of the match. Next match against Loddon at Gorleston Rec, ko 10.30am, meet at the ground at 10am. Any problems call Steve 01493 669241.

GORLESTON RANGERS GIRLS U11 recorded their biggest win of the season, over a sporting Firside team. Rangers' changed formation began to take shape as Mary started to win the midfield. Aimee and Neve began to link up, which became the outstanding feature of the match, and soon Neve scored the first of her four goals. Aimee scored a fine solo effort. Beth and the Hannahs looked comfortable at the back, Hannah S capping a very sound display with the third goal from a corner. Neve added her second after an excellent passing move. It might have been more than four at half-time but for excellent Firside goalkeeping and Mary firing wide from the penalty spot. Second half Neve soon completed her hat-trick. Beth, beginning to look the part in defence, made way for Jess. Aimee completed her hat-trick. Hannah C assumed penalty duty and finished well. Jess popped up at the back post to score, and an own goal and Neve's fourth completed the 11-goal tally. GoM: Aimee. Next game at Wroughton against the U10s, time to be confirmed.

SHRUBLANDS U10B's game kicked off in horrendous conditions against Loddon Grasshoppers, however this didn't stop both sides trying to play football. The first half was a well contested affair with both sides creating and snuffing out opportunities. Loddon nosed in front with two well-taken chances just before the break. The second half started with Shrubs creating several chances. One passing move led to Shane crashing a shot against the bar, followed with Lee releasing Shane to slot past the keeper to pull one back. Shrubs pushed forward searching for an equaliser only to be caught on the break with a late clincher. Well done all involved for a fantastic game in terrible conditions. MoM: Westie, great saves and good handling in very difficult conditions. Training Saturday as usual. Next match Long Stratton, away, meet 9.15am.

STALHAM U10 played Aylsham in treacherous wind and rain. The boys started very strongly playing great passing football. Troy, Harry, Byron and Sean linked up superbly and all worked very hard. Jake and Daniel were solid at the back and Ryan worked hard in midfield when he came on. A mix-up in defence meant Aylsham's quick striker went clean through to score. Stalham did not deserve to start the second half 1-0 down. They played some excellent football again in the second half and had several very good chances, with shots hitting the post or just falling wide. Josh came on and made a nuisance of himself, he also played some good passes through. Ryan took Daniel's place at the back and closed the ball well. Joseph made two brilliant saves and his kicking was excellent. Aylsham took their chances to win 5-0. Player of the match was Harry for working his socks off. Stalham's manager is very proud of her boys; they have played very good football the last couple of weeks which scorelines do not reflect. They have not had much luck and certainly did not deserve this week's result, especially in the tough weather conditions. The boys continue to keep their heads up, play with enthusiasm and work hard, their time will come soon.

SWINDELL GIRLS U17 went to St Benets and came away with a 2-2 draw. Swindell had only seven players against their opponents' nine. Smudge got Swindell off to a fantastic start with a a run and cool finish. Betty had opportunities to seal this match by half-time. Porsha and Smudge covered all the pitch, Lissa was hard-working, Gabi never gaveg in. Paisley didn't let anyone down and Gabi got ther important second goal, running through the middle for an excellent finish. In the second half St Benets rarely caused trouble and it was a case of miss after miss, hitting the woodwork and Benets keeper stopping shots. With seven minutes left St Benets got one back. Megan, who had a super match, stopped a certain leveller, but had no chance with St Benets' equalizer. Swindell didn't really deserve that, but again opportunities were missed, one point should have been three. RPoM: All seven. This is a big rally cry.
