City 'keeper Robert Green today admitted he had switched off his mobile phone to avoid discussing his club future while on England duty.
Green, 26, was quoted in a national newspaper as saying that he wanted to play Premiership football “as soon as possible”.
But he added: “I certainly won't be talking to the club about my situation while I'm here with England. My phone is switched off and I'm not even thinking about it.”
He said: “I want to be involved in the Premiership and play at the highest level as soon as possible. If that's with Norwich then so much the better but I've only got one year left on my contract so my future is out of my hands to a certain extent.”
