City's temporary management team had a string of injuries to check on ahead of tomorrow's Championship meeting with Barnsley at Carrow Road (3pm).

Head of recruitment Bryan Gunn was set to be in caretaker charge for the first home match after Glenn Roeder's departure, assisted by goalkeeping coach Tommy Wright and academy manager Ricky Martin.

One bonus for Gunn is that on-loan defender Jonathan Grounds is available again after being ineligible for the FA Cup tie against Charlton.

Defender Adam Drury was substituted at half-time on Tuesday because of a knee problem, while Wes Hoolahan (groin) and Ryan Bertrand were both said to be less than fully fit, and City were planning to investigate a chest problem that had affected full-back Jon Otsemobor's breathing.

Striker Jamie Cureton, recalled from his loan spell at Barnsley, was in line for a recall in attack.
