The Gunn family know all about the highs and lows that the East Anglian derby can provide and Angus is relishing the chance to follow in the footsteps of his father for Norwich this Sunday.
While Bryan is no doubt sick of talking about that infamous air-kick in a 2-1 loss at Portman Road in April 1996 – when Angus was less than three months old – Ipswich fans will never let the Canaries legend forget about it.
Equally the current Norwich number one’s dad enjoyed plenty of good times, including City’s first derby win in Suffolk in a decade in September 1994, when Rob Newman and Carl Bradshaw scored the goals.
“He’s said a few things which can’t be repeated!” Gunn junior admitted with a grin. “Hopefully we can come out on the right side, then we’ll all be happy. Our away form has been good so that gives us great confidence going into the match.
“The fans will be getting more excited the closer we get to the game. It will be the same with us too.
“We’re aware of how the atmosphere will be, but, just like any other game, we want to win it. We’re looking to go there and take the three points.”

His father played in eight derby games, winning four and losing four during the 1990s.
Born in Norwich and growing up a City fan, Gunn has returned to Norfolk on loan for the season from Premier League giants Manchester City and has kept six clean sheets in 14 games.
The 21-year-old has been able to enjoy the Canaries’ eight-game unbeaten run in derby fixtures unfolding during the past eight years – and played a big part in the current eight-game unbeaten run for Daniel Farke’s team.
The England Under-21 international kept a club-record five consecutive league clean sheets during that run and admits the Norwich players are looking forward to kick-off.

“I’ve been to quite a few derbies in my time,” Gunn said, speaking to City’s official website.
“There have been some good and some bad ones, but hopefully we can make Sunday a good one. The week leading up is always a big thing.
“We’ve spoken about it in the dressing room and everyone is looking forward to the game. All the lads can see what it’s about so we’re just eager to get onto the pitch now.”
