David Williams saw his side twice bounce back to earn a deserved share of the points against MK Dons in the FA Premier Academy Under-18 League at Colney today.

A goal down at the break, City hit back with a goal from central defender Alvin Quaye before the Dons restored their lead, but with just 15 minutes left, it was Matthew Halliday who equalised for the second time for the Canaries.

Although the visitors were playing with the advantage of a strong wind, it was City who had the first attempt on goal, with last week's goal hero at Southampton, Chris Martin, firing a shot over the crossbar.

Shortly afterwards, the City defence was caught napping, allowing Jamie England to fire in a shot that was not far over the bar.

Despite the fact that the Dons appeared to be in the driving seat, City still looked dangerous on the break with Barry Smart having a shot blocked after a good move.

With 33 minutes gone, City went a goal behind when goalkeeper Joe Lewis was unable to hold on to a shot from Sam BALDOCK.

Both teams were unchanged for the start of the second half and the Dons were lucky to escape when City failed to capitalise on a mistake in their defence.

Lee Howlett tried his luck from 40 yards and it needed a super fingertip save from Robert Webb to deny the City midfielder.

Martin then tried his luck from distance but his 25-yard effort was wide of the target.

With 65 minutes gone, City drew level when Adam Gusterson's corner was headed on by Halliday and, when Martin tried to backheel the ball, it fell kindly for QUAYE, who slotted home from close range.

Just seven minutes later, the visitors restored their lead with a delightful left-foot volley from ENGLAND that went in off the post.

But with just five minutes left, another Gusterson corner was met at the far post by HALLIDAY, who volleyed home - the perfect way to celebrate the news today that he has just won his first professional contract with the Canaries.
