Former City defender Thomas Helveg has returned home to Denmark to join his first club Odense, who are managed by ex-Canary boss Bruce Rioch. The 35-year-old has left Bundesliga strugglers Borussia Moenchengladbach - who yesterday parted company with coach Jupp Heynckes after a run of 13 winless games saw them slide into the relegation zone - after managing just 13 league outings since his £135,000 move from Carrow Road in July 2005.
