HETHERSETT Athletic Ladies are through to the semi-finals of the Norfolk County Cup after a hard-fought 4-1 win over Great Yarmouth Ladies.
Emma Mulley and Grace Birchall both scored twice. Hethersett were forced to play a number of young players from their Hearts team due to long-term injuries to key first team players.
This was compounded during the match when Emma Mulley suffered slight concussion and Lauren Matthews suffered a broken leg.
This week Hethersett will have to pull out all the stops as they start the defence of the Eastern Region League Cup — a trophy they have won for the last three years.
They have a difficult tie away to Chelmsford and once again will be beset by injuries.
