HETHERSETT Athletic Ladies bowed out of the Women’s FA Cup at the second qualifying stage when they were beaten for the first time this season.
An exciting cup tie at Wroxham saw them trading goals with Cambridge University with the score finishing 4-4 after extra-time with Grace Birchall scoring twice and other Hethersett goals coming from Charlie Swann (her first for the first team) and Emma Mulley.
Hethersett went down 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out.
This Sunday Hethersett will be looking for quick revenge when they visit Cambridge University in the Eastern Region Premier Division looking to extend their lead at the top of the table.
