HETHERSETT Ladies fielded a young and inexperienced team against Chelmsford in the Eastern Region Premier Division and were on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline.
Hethersett were without a number of key players through injury and struggled to make headway against a very solid Essex side, who are still in the hunt for the league title.
A lapse in defence allowed Chelmsford to take the lead after 26 minutes. Hethersett might have expected a better second-half display but failed to make the most of going downhill after the break.
A strong wind threatened to spoil the match, but Chelmsford adapted to the conditions much better and made it 2-0 after 48 minutes and ran in two more goals.
