East Norfolk Sixth Form College’s Women’s football team finished the season fourth after reaching the national stages of the Plate Cup for a second year.

As the youngest side in the league, the team fought hard to secure wins over teams from London and Colchester, but were eventually defeated by Derby College in the quarter-finals.

At East Norfolk’s recent Sports Award Evening, Sam Hunn was presented with the award for Top Goal Scorer, Marcie Prettyman won Players’ Player and Chloe Hoffman won Manager’s Player.

Team Manager Sam Scott said: “As the youngest team in the league the girls deserve praise for their mature, professional approach this season, resulting in some fantastic football.

“All of this was made possible by sponsorship from East Coast Drains Limited, who I’d like to thank on behalf of the College and the Team. Focus now turns to preparing the team ready for another exciting season.”
