Iron defender Jim McNulty has seen first hand what City's attack can do on its day.

The on-loan Brighton defender watched from the sidelines as they banged in half a dozen goals against the Seagulls last season, but says Scunthorpe have been given a boost by their opening day win at Reading.

“I saw Norwich first-hand in League One last year and thought they were a very accomplished team at that level,” said the left-back.

“They've signed some good players, they've got a good manager; everything is in place for them to be a Championship club.

“I do think they've got the quality to do well at this level.

“My friend from Brighton last year, Andrew Crofts, got a move to Norwich and managed to score on Sky last week on his debut.

“I think he scored over 10 goals for us last season from midfield, so they can score goals all over the park.

“They're a good team and they deserve the respect we will give them.

“It was a great result on Saturday. To get two wins now would be incredible.”
