Xavier Huckle scored four times and still finished on the losing side as Diss Town went down 5-4 in extra-time at Ely City in their FA Vase second qualifying round replay.

Huckle took his tally to 10 goals in the last four games, the second two last night pulling the Tangerines level after they trailed 3-1 to goals from Grant Robbins and Nick Impey (two) with 17 minutes left.

Two minutes into extra time, Diss took the lead for the only time on the night when Huckle struck again.

But the drama was not over as two goals from Robbie Mason gave Ely victory.

It was much more straightforward for Wroxham last night as they beat Division One visitors Gorleston 3-0 before a crowd of 147 at Trafford Park.

Andrew Claydon's 54th minute penalty gave Norwich United a 1-0 Ridgeons League victory over King's Lynn Reserves at Plantation Park.
