Confirmation of Ibrahim Amadou’s loan arrival has been greeted with huge positivity by Norwich City supporters, providing the defensive reinforcement many had felt was needed for the Premier League.

The 26-year-old has been brought in on a season-long loan, with the option of a permanent switch next summer, should the Canaries survive in the Premier League and be impressed by the former Lille defensive midfielder.

Reports in Spain suggest a loan fee of around £1million has been paid, with City taking on the Cameroon-born players full wages as well and the prospect of a further £9m to seal a permanent deal if the move works out.
