Glenn Roeder will have to wait to see any more of his Austrian trialist Roman Kienast after the striker suffered a hamstring injury.

The 24-year-old international striker had been hoping to impress the City boss against Arsenal's second string at Carrow Road on Tuesday, but lasted only 18 minutes before he had to go off.

The target man, who is currently on loan with Helsingborgs IF from Ham-Kam, confirmed yesterday he now faces more than a month out of action.

“I pulled it and couldn't play anymore,” Kienast, who was a member of Austria's Euro 2008 team, told Norwegian newspaper Hamar Arbeiderblad. “This sums up my 2008 footballing year. I'm going home to Vienna for treatment and I'm aiming to be back at 100 pc in January.”

Kienast has made nine appearances for Austria, including Euro 2008 in his home country. With Antoine Sibierski expected to return to Wigan at the end of his loan spell in January, Roeder is clearly looking for alternatives.
