Could young Norwich City striker Adam Idah be on his way to League One on loan? Some supporters of Doncaster Rovers think so, as they try to solve an early January transfer window puzzle.
That's following a report from the Doncaster Free Press that suggested a loan deal for a "highly rated young striker" had been agreed "in principle" with a Premier League club, which could be completed during the initial days of the window.
The report went as far as to say that this mystery player could be signed in time to feature against Shrewsbury on January 7, with the window to open on New Year's Day.
After a bit of detective work, some Rovers fans think they have narrowed that down to Canaries starlet Adam Idah, who has been prolific for the club at academy levels since signing in the summer of 2017, as well as at various youth levels for the Republic of Ireland.
The search was sparked by the report claiming a senior player who had been on the fringes of the Doncaster squad was set to leave after a nominal fee had been agreed with a League Two club.

It then continued: "His place in the squad is set to be filled by the Premier League loanee who has an excellent scoring record for his club at age group level. He has made one senior appearance and been an unused substitute in the top flight on several occasions.
"The teenager has also scored regularly at age group level for his national team."

While some supporters initially thought that could be Tottenham's highly rated Irish forward Troy Parrott, it's since been pointed out that Idah fits the description more accurately.
The 18-year-old made his senior debut in August when he played all of a shock 1-0 loss away to League Two side Crawley in the Carabao Cup second round and he was an unused substitute for three Premier League games subsequently.
Idah has scored five goals in 11 games for the Republic of Ireland U21s, helping his age group to the verge of qualification for the 2021 European U21 Championships, having scored regularly at younger age groups.
The Cork native signed a new contract this summer, committing to City until 2023, and has scored once in six games at under-23 level as he has spent most of his time with the first team squad.
He scored 13 in 23 games at U23 level last season though and 15 goals in 23 matches for the U18s during 2017-18, helping City reach the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
Doncaster currently sit 16th in League One under former West Brom boss Moore, seven points clear of the relegation zone, with winger Kieran Sadlier their top scorer on eight league goals.
It's believed the Canaries are keen to get Idah some senior experience during the second half of the season, with an eye on him being more involved next season, with star striker Teemu Pukki the clear first choice for head coach Daniel Farke.
That would however leave just Switzerland striker Josip Drmic and Dennis Srbeny as cover for Pukki, with Drmic closing on a return from two months out with a hamstring injury and Srbeny's main experience being at lower levels in Germany.
The Canaries have been linked with strikers ahead of the window though, including Scotland international Lawrence Shankland of Dundee United, Renaud Emond of Standard Liege and Lyle Taylor of Charlton Athletic, while the potential loan return of Jordan Rhodes from Sheffield Wednesday is never too far away from being mentioned.
Have the Donny fans who settled on Idah been successful in their search though?
Idah scored twice in pre-season for City, both in a 4-1 friendly win over fourth tier side SC Bonner, and although his debut at Crawley was a rather forgettable night - with the decisive goal deflecting in off him - the speedy striker clearly has the physique to start his senior progress and has played a starring role for the Ireland U21s, earning rave reviews.
