Let’s be honest last Saturday’s performance up at Old Trafford was a big disappointment for all concerned for Norwich City as they were well and truly beat up by Manchester Utd.
The only surprise is that Utd only scored the four goals.
Granted it's only the second time away from home this season that the lads have suffered a heavy defeat but it was the manner of their performance, they looked as if they had no belief that they were capable of going to the Theatre of Dreams and coming back with a positive result.
Sadly the lads just didn't turn up. Having drawn their last two Premier League games I really thought Norwich would have gone up there and given an average United side a real run for their money but they made Ole Gunner Solskjaer's side look like world beaters and once again the defensive side of the team left a lot to be desired.
Defensively this season there's been far to many poor decisions been made and the lads have been punished for them. Take United's first goal last Saturday, it was so avoidable and came at such a bad time.
When you play away your first target is to make sure the opposition don't score in the opening 20 minutes as that helps quieten the crowd down and then you build from there.
Norwich did this last weekend but then conceded a poor goal on 27 minutes which changed the course of the game, even though they went in at the break just the one goal down.
Then, like so many times this season, Norwich conceded early in the second half and the game was done and dusted after United's third goal on 54 minutes.
It was good to see Daniel be proactive this week in the transfer market bringing in two new faces which will hopefully boost morale up at Colney.
Lukas Rupp is a no nonsense experienced midfielder signed from 1899 Hoffenheim but hasn't played a lot of football in the last couple of seasons. Ondrej Duda, another midfielder, was brought in from Hertha Berlin. I've seen Duda play on a couple of occasions when he's played for Slovakia against Wales, and he really caught my eye back in June 2016.
I was in the Stade Matmut - Atlantidue Stadium in Bordeaux for Wales's first group match in Euros and it was against Slovakia.
Having taken the lead through a Gareth Bale free kick, Slovakia, who had been poor, brought Duda on 60 minutes and he had an immediate impact, scoring in the 61st minute and what a well take goal it was as he showed great composure to slot the ball past Danny Ward. It's fair to say I called him every name under the sun!
Tomorrow's home game against Bournemouth is the biggest game in the Premier League this weekend, Norwich's biggest game of the season up to now, a game that they simply must win if they have any chance of staying up.
After a good start to the season, Bournemouth are in free fall and suddenly find themselves second from bottom six points in front of Norwich.
Norwich's points return in their last 11 games hasn't been great, winning just seven, but that's three more than Eddie Howe's men have won in their last 11. They've won just four that's why they are where they are.
In their last eight Premier League games Bournemouth have scored just two goals and Callum Wilson their English international hasn't scored a League goal since September, hopefully that statistic will be the same come 5pm tomorrow evening.
Norwich haven't won at Carrow Road since beating Manchester City back on September 14, they simply have to win this game tomorrow otherwise it could be curtains.
