A good few Norwich City players have been away on international duty over the last couple of week so I’m not to sure how much time Daniel Farke’s had to work with the players at Colney in preparation for one of the toughest tests City will face this season when the champions Manchester City visit Carrow Road.

It's not ideal for Daniel, especially after that poor performance at the London Stadium, but I guess it's the same for most managers and coaches in the Premier League and you simply have to get on with it.

One player who will be bouncing out at Carrow Road on Saturday evening will be Teemu Pukki.

Before the international break he would have been on Cloud Nine with his start to the new season, scoring five goals in his opening four games. Then he only goes and bangs in another two from the penalty spot for Finland, against Greece and Italy, making it a carbon copy of five goals in his last four games for his national team.

His ratio of a goal every two and a bit games for Finland is something I'm sure he's very proud of - and rightly so.

Hopefully it will be an end to Norwich's penalty woes of last season. I know Teemu missed one, but if he doesn't step up to take the next one then I'll be very, very surprised.

Injuries are starting to give Daniel Farke a headache with some key players on the sidelines. He's already without the services of Timm Klose for a good few months after that nasty knee injury, Christoph Zimmerman is struggling after that crude challenge from Sebastian Haller at West Ham and now Max Aarons could be struggling after he limped off with 10 minutes remaining of the England U21s game against Kosovo U21s on Monday night. Since then, I'm sure he would have had round-the-clock treatment and if I was a betting man I'd put a little £1 on him being ready to play against the champions.

Talking of the England U21s team, huge congratulations to Ben Godfrey, Max and Todd Cantwell who all featured on Monday night. It was great to see all three on the field at the same time in that second half, even if it was short-lived with Max picking up that injury.

It's just reward for the three of them for some top class performances, not just at the start of this season in the Premier League but also some eye-catching ones last season in the Championship. As we've seen over the last couple of years, Gareth Southgate isn't afraid of giving youth an opportunity, I think his philosophy is, if you're good enough then you're old enough' and if these three keep developing and improving as they have done in such a short space of time then, who knows, this time next year, or maybe a bit sooner, they could well be knocking on the senior squad door.

I enjoyed playing against Manchester City - after West Brom they were my second favourite team to play against as my goalscoring record against them was quite good. I scored for four of my six clubs against Manchester City, I remember scoring the winner against them at the River End in September 1999, flicking a nice little header over the oncoming Nicky Weaver.

My header up at Maine Road in February 2000 was one that I was particularly proud of as it was in front of our travelling faithful fans, and my parents were in amongst them. Sadly we lost the game 3-1 - mind you, neither of those goals I scored was as good as Marc Libra's stunning effort in a brilliant 2-0 win at Carrow Road back in August 2001. Wouldn't it be great if we saw a similar goal scored by a player in a yellow shirt tomorrow evening?
