Norwich City striker Simeon Jackson came off the bench to score his third goal for Canada in the 3-0 win in Puerto Rico in their second World Cup qualifying match.

Jackson played the final half-hour at Estadio Juan Ramn Loubriel as a substitute for Terry Dunfield and scored his side’s second goal, five minutes from time, tucking away a rebound from inside the six-yard box after a Dwayne De Rosario free kick was saved by Eric Reyes.

Jackson, winning his 21st cap, had earlier rattled the woodwork with a 20-yard effort.

Iain Hume gave Canada the lead late in the first half while Tosaint Ricketts scored the third goal, three minutes into stoppage time, set up by Jackson.

Stephen Hart’s side have a two-point lead in Concacaf Group D, taking six points from their first two games. They beat St Lucia 4-1 in their opening game.
