A former grave digger he may be, but on-loan striker Jonatan Johansson says the Canaries need a miracle to dig themselves a part of the Championship play-off plot.

Although only one of the top 16 in the Championship managed to grind out a win at the weekend - Sheffield United at home to Southampton - Norwich are still well of the pace, courtesy of three dropped points at Burnley the night before.

A place in the top six is unlikely, but Johansson said there would be no let-up in the hunt for points.

“We have to believe there's still a chance for us if we win all our games,” said Johansson, who took a summer job as a gravedigger to help him through college in Finland.

The on-loan Charlton man was one the City players guilty of missing a gilt-edged chance at Turf Moor before Burnley opened the scoring, and then went on to dominate a match that Norwich had started so well.

“When they scored we were a bit shell-shocked and we didn't play well, and it was very unfortunate with results going for us on Saturday,” he said.

“There's a slight possibility (of the play-offs). Everybody was bitterly disappointed to lose on Friday. But we need to put that out of the way now and concentrate on Leicester. Our home form has been good lately, and we need to continue that.

“We have been playing well at home and that's why it's so weird when we get a result like Burnley. No-one can put their finger on it, but we need to forget about it and concentrate on Saturday.”
