One-time Canaries loan player John Kennedy has been forced to retire from football on medical advice.
Kennedy, 26, has spent a decade at Celtic, but made just 45 appearances. He missed three years after seriously injuring his knee in March, 2004, and soon after his return was out for another three months with a similar problem.
He joined City in July, 2008, but after 16 appearances and two goals suffered yet another knee injury in the December, forcing then manager Glenn Roeder to abandon plans to re-sign him until the end of the season.
“It is with great regret that I have made this decision,” Kennedy told the Celtic website. “However, given the medical advice which I received, this is the right decision.”
