King's Lynn's former Southern League-winning manager and Uefa 'A' licence coach Darren Bloodworth recently delivered an elite training day for players and staff from the King's Lynn community football (KLCF) advanced football program.

Bloodworth is now a regional manager for the English FA operating closely with academy schemes in eight football league clubs.

Players on the day were put through a number of drills used by well respected academy set-ups such as FC Twente that Bloodworth had recently visited. Not only were practical sessions delivered to players, but he also presented a PowerPoint presentation to the group on elite performers.

Jess Ibrom (KLCF football development officer) said: “We were very lucky Biff agreed to coach some of our youngsters from the scheme. It was fantastic for our players to be coached from somebody who is probably the most well-respected in the local area as well as being so well qualified in holding the prestigious Uefa 'A' badge.

“It was a great insight and experience for both players and staff to work with Darren as he provides such a great wealth of knowledge. These elite training days are so important to the development of our players progressing through our program and already we have two other well known football coaches lined up in the next two months.”
