King's Lynn boss Carl Heggs has today completed the signing of former Shrewsbury defender Liam Murray.
The imposing centre half rejected a deal with Conference North Solihull to join the club's Unibond Premier Division promotion push.
“Liam hasn't turned Solihull down because of a lack of ambition, he has come to King's Lynn because I've told him we are going to win the league,” said Heggs. He wants to be part of what I'm building and trying to achieve here and no disrespect to Solihull but he isn't going to win the league there. I had Liam with me at Redditch last season and he was our best player by a long way before he had to leave because of financial cuts.”
The 23-year-old becomes Heggs' 13th fresh signing since replacing Keith Webb during the close season. Lynn open their pre-season campaign at his former club Redditch on Tuesday.
