The King's Lynn born 26-year-old is poised to make his debut in Saturday's Unibond Premier Division game against Whitby at The Walks.
Lynn boss Carl Heggs held talks with free agent Gay at the midweek Ridgeons Premier Division derby against Wisbech after confirming first choice keeper Jason White had suffered a broken hand injury.
