More controversy, painful defeat, another Championship battle looming large – and Timm Klose is loving it.
Saturday’s home defeat to Derby was City’s first league loss since August, and their relentless schedule brings impressive promotion-hopefuls Wolves next on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
With an East Anglian derby success at Ipswich and 120 minutes of gallant League Cup defeat at Arsenal in the same week, Daniel Farke’s Canaries are going to need to go to the well again – but that is fine by Klose.
“That’s this division,” he said. “You have so many games. We’ve had no break for the last two weeks, and I love it.
“It’s football. You go out, you don’t train too much, you play, you play – that’s why you’re a football player. You want to show the fans and the team you can do it better every day you go out and wake up.
“Of course we know Wolves are a good side and I think it’s going to be a good game. But it shows maybe that this division is unpredictable, that everyone wins against everyone.
“We are angry and we have to be angry and sad we lost these games. But from now we have to think about the next game and how we turn it around.

“It’s quite normal after 120 minutes that you have to force yourself through a game (like Saturday) and I think what we’ve shown in the last few weeks was extraordinary.
“We’re still a young team that’s in a developing situation and we need to grow from things like Saturday.
“Everything is perfect when you win or you don’t concede any goals, but it’s moments like this where you have to learn from it. And it’s not only up to us players. We have to stick together; that’s the most important thing.
“This was a small setback but the season is so long and there are so many games, it’s going to happen sometimes. It’s now about how you get up afterwards.”
Wolves have been in a similar boat, with a Carabao Cup penalties exit at Manchester City before suffering Championship defeat at QPR on Saturday.
Klose added: “I think we have an unbelievable spirit in the team and team togetherness.
“I mentioned a few weeks ago the boat we have, and sometimes there are waves coming against you – and you need to make sure everyone is sitting on the right paddle and you get through it.
“That’s not only in football, it’s in life. You can all tell stories about it. So we’ll get up again, be focused for Tuesday and I’m sure the lads are hungry to go again.”
