LAKEFORD Rangers U10 are celebrating after a season which started off by not being able to field a team finished with them winning the league by four points and making it to the league cup semi-finals.

The team managed by Ant Hewett and coached by Chris Parke only came together at the start of the 2010/11 season and instantly became a group of boys that not only loved to play football but, more importantly, became great friends who would push themselves to the max for their team-mates.

Playing in the Norfolk Youth Combination U10B league, Lakeford won 18 of their 22 league matches, scoring an impressive 79 goals and only conceding 22.

Supported week in week out by encouraging parents, all the players had fun and made massive progress with their football.

Lakeford Rangers are looking for players to join the existing boys for the step up to 11-a-side football next season, as well as entering tournaments over the summer. The team will be training at Eaton Park, Norwich on Saturday mornings and playing matches on Sundays.

If you have a child who loves their football will be aged 10 on or before August 31 2011 and would like to be part of a fun, progressing and successful league winning team then please contact Ant Hewett on 07500 870646 for further details.
