Leggett is weighing up a Fenland Park return ahead of the new season after featuring for Diss in League One last year.
Taylor said: “Kevin is just as capable of playing up-front as he is in defence. He's been around for a while and has a wealth of Ridgeons League experience. He's been in for two pre-season training sessions with us but it seems that Diss are desperate to keep hold of him.”
Taylor is also tracking midfielder Stuart King after recruiting Peterborough-based attacking wideman Josh Kamau.

“Stuart is another experienced Ridgeons League player and a good lad with a good attitude,” he said. “Josh has impressed me in training. I originally wanted to see him play in a couple of friendly matches before making a decision on him, but decided to get him while I can and see how he gets on. We will have to see if he plays regularly in the first team or reserves.”
Midfielder Mark Abbs - who played under Taylor at Haverhill - is weighing up a Wisbech move.
