A Sunday newspaper claimed that the 21-year-old defender was high on Worthington's wish list, and predicted a free transfer switch to Carrow Road during the close season.
But the City boss insisted yesterday that the claims were well wide of the mark.
"I don't know where that one came from," he said.
"Lewington is a player we know about - but then the same can be said of lots of other players too. We are always looking at people, it's an ongoing process.
"Nothing has happened - and there is nothing to suggest that he is on our list."
