The Canaries have banked an extra �100,000 thanks to the success of former goalkeeper Joe Lewis, according to reports. Lewis has just celebrated a second successive promotion with Peterborough United after joining them for �400,000 in January last year, without playing a first team game for City.

Posh's elevation to the Championship after finishing as League One runners-up has triggered the latest payout - and it is understood the total transfer fee would reach �700,000 if they ever reach the Premier League. Norfolk-born Lewis is believed to be a �2.5m target for Premier League Portsmouth, who want a long-term successor to 38-year-old David James.
