Joe Lewis will be hoping to avoid parent club Norwich when the draw is made for the second round of the Carling Cup tonight. The 19-year-old keeper is on loan at League Two new-boys Morecambe, and is already making a name for himself - but if Sammy McIllroy's team draw City, he won't be able to play under new rules that forbid loan players appearing against their own clubs.

The 19-year-old keeper is on loan at League Two new-boys Morecambe, and is already making a name for himself - but if Sammy McIllroy's team draw City, he won't be able to play under new rules that forbid loan players appearing against their own clubs.

Lewis has got off to a flying start with Morecambe. He produced a stunning save to preserve an opening day draw against Barnet and played a vital role on Tuesday as the Shrimps pulled off one of the season's early shocks, beating Championship outfit Preston 2-1 at Deepdale - three days after City had been held 0-0 there.

The draw will be made live on Sky TV after the match between Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday.

Teams are seeded on last season's positions, with all Premier League teams, with the exception of the eight clubs involved in European competitions, in the hat.
