King's Lynn tonight have appointed Redditch assistant boss Carl Heggs as the club's new manager.
Linnets' chairman Ken Bobbins confirmed Heggs was the unanimous choice of the club's board after interviews held earlier today to find Keith Webb's successor.
The 38-year-old made more than 200 Football League appearances for West Brom, Swansea and Northampton during a ten year playing career. Heggs also has extensive non league experience with Forest Green, Ilkeston, Tamworth and Redditch where he was appointed to the management team in 2007.
Heggs is scheduled to be presented at a press conference at The Walks on Friday.
