King's Lynn boss Keith Webb will run the rule over ex-Notts Forest midfielder Robert Hughes in tomorrow's pre-season friendly at Cambridge City.
The 20-year-old made four City Ground appearances last season before being released by the League One giants after Forest's failed play-off push.
Former West Brom trainee Shaun Ridgway is set for another outing after an impressive midfield display in the midweek 4-0 defeat to Norwich.

Webb has also held exploratory talks with former Grays playmaker Ashley Nicholls as bids to fine tune a promotion-winning squad.
“I've spoken to his agent and he is one we are looking at,” said Webb. “Young Robert is going to come and have a game at Cambridge City. If Shaun performs like he did against Norwich then I may sit down and do something. He did a decent job in an area of the field I want to strengthen. He loves to get forward and get himself in the box, which I don't think we really have from midfield.”

Fellow midweek triallists defender Andy Tiday and keeper Michael Hilton are poised to feature again during Lynn's pre-season build up.
“I've invited Andy to come back for the Wroxham game,” said Webb. “He's one Lee Glover knows from Alfreton. It was difficult for him to come into a competitive match like Norwich because he hasn't done much training.
“Mark is a 19-year-old lad who was at the Norwich academy with people like Joe Lewis. He went up to York for a couple of years but he's back now and one Matty Henman has spotted.
“He has plenty of potential. I couldn't fault him for any of the three Norwich goals. He wasn't fazed at all and commanded his area well.
“I felt 4-0 flattered Norwich a little. Fair play, they showed a lot of discipline and took it very seriously. We aren't obviously used to that level of intensity but I felt the likes of John Turner, Mark Camm and Steve Melton really acquitted themselves well.
“It's about taking a step forward each time we play and there was some positive stuff to build on.”
Webb also confirmed a seven day approach for Stamford defender Bobby White.
