Lynn's home hoodoo continued in last night's Unibond Premier Division clash at The Walks.

Makeshift striker Danny Spencer rescued a draw for Carl Heggs' men after Colin Hunter and Paul Foot had edged the high flying visitors ahead.

Lynn could point to Ryan Beswick's missed first half penalty after Spencer had bravely nodded the hosts in front but Heggs' men struggled at the business end in the absence of Gareth Sheldon and Anthony Robinson.

Sheldon watched from the sidelines as he awaits scans later this week on the left knee damaged against Guiseley while Robinson was absent for the first of his three game ban.

Liam Murray added to Heggs' injury woes after walking out of the action with his left arm in a temporary sling following a heavy early fall.

Ferriby's central defender Sam Denton was also forced off with suspected concussion in a bizarre first half delayed 15 minutes after the visitors' coach was caught in heavy traffic.

Heggs opted to re-deploy Spencer up front alongside Owen Story in the absence of his dynamic duo with Beswick slotting into Spencer's vacated left back berth.

Callum Lloyd bailed out the new left back in the early sparring before Story burst down the left but Denton kicked away from the alert Spencer.

Jamie Oliver and Denton were involved in a sickening clash of heads from the resulting corner - Oliver up after treatment.

Lynn broke the deadlock on 18 minutes when Spencer threw himself at Joe Magunda's near post cross to despatch a looping header that nestled just inside Steve Wilson's left hand post.

Hunter drew North Ferriby level with a stunning left footed half way that flew past Danny Gay from fully 25 yards.

Murray was the next casualty to depart following a committed sliding challenge. Wilson dived to his left to claw away Beswick's penalty after the former Leicester man tumbled over Ben Morley's rash challenge on the edge of the box. Billy Law's snap header dropped wide as the visitors finished the half in the ascendancy.

Foot edged North Ferriby in front on 50 minutes with a sharp swivel and right footed slot that rolled past Gay from Russ Fry's free kick.

Heggs turned to the attacking talents of Jordan Smith and young ex-Norwich academy youngster Nick Davey in a bid to force the issue.

Skipper Andy Boyce struck Wilson at the back post from an acute angle with Lynn's aerial barrage pushing the visitors deeper.

Spencer cashed in on Wilson's rush of blood to calmly sidefoot into an empty net on 68 minutes after the keeper raced from his line to intercept Smith but his attempted clearance cannoned into Spencer's path.

The former Brackley man then produced an excellent parry from Wilson before the visiting keeper dropped to his left to grasp Story's first time effort as Lynn finished on the front foot.
