The winger opened the scoring after 11 minutes at Crown Meadow after getting on the end of a Jamie Godbold cross, but the struggling Essex side equalised within 60 seconds through Ronaldo Wright.
However the league leaders were not to be denied, with Hunn netting his second with just 16 minutes on the clock after he latched on to Gary McGee's through ball.
Both sides hit the woodwork in the second half, with Richard Woodrow hitting the bar for the home side.
