Magpies show no sign of Vase hangover
All three Ridgeons League Wembley hopefuls kept their Premier Division form going last night with impressive victories. While holders Lowestoft were winning 3-1 at Wisbech, Dereham Town had a convincing 3-0 home win over Histon Reserves and Needham Market - who the Magpies play in the fifth round of the FAVase on February 7 - won by the best of seven goals at home to Stanway.

Magpies' boss Matty Henman handed Adam Gusterson his first start following his return from serious injury.
It took them until the 43rd minute to go in front, when Adam Smith, chipped a great ball forward to Sam Willis, allowing the midfielder to turn inside the advancing keeper before skilfully lobbing the ball home.

Minutes later, they increased their lead when Paul Atkins slammed the ball home from close range.
And though Histon had to replace injured keeper John Higgs with defender Jay Eastoe-Smith they managed just one more in the second half, again a close range effort from Atkins.
