Manager needs support as he builds team
Daphne Griffith, NCISA Congratulations to everyone on the pitch and behind the scenes for the sparkling performance against Birmingham. I can honestly say it is one of the most enjoyable home games I have watched in the last couple of seasons.

Congratulations to everyone on the pitch and behind the scenes for the sparkling performance against Birmingham. I can honestly say it is one of the most enjoyable home games I have watched in the last couple of seasons.
It would have been great to get all three points, but apart from that it was a really positive performance, and let's hope things continue to get better.
Opinion is divided on the wisdom of stuffing our squad full of loan players. Yes, it is is nice to know a player is “ours”, but looking at the team on Saturday - without loans, how else would our club be able to play Lupoli, Bertrand and Kennedy - and do any of them show less commitment than “our” players?

If our ambition is to get promotion, we have to get the best squad possible. We can't afford Robinho, but, if fit, Sibierski until January may give us the striking power we need.
It seems Wolves have paid a decent amount for Jason Shackell. I'm in two minds about his departure; sorry to see a home-grown Norwich player depart after giving us many years' good service, but also pleased for Jason whose career needs a change with new challenges and a chance to continue to develop. And a warm welcome goes to Jonathan Grounds and Antoine Sibierski.

Football fans don't know what goes on behind the scenes at their clubs. We are passionate, opinionated and often totally uninformed.
This week it was announced that the Turners have left the board. In fact, they have already been gone for two weeks.
We were given a carefully prepared statement thanking them for their contribution but we will never know the full story.
What is clear is that things here are not as chaotic as at Newcastle and West Ham. Glenn Roeder, interviewed on BBC Radio Five Live as a former manager of both clubs, said how lucky he is that at Norwich he is in control of who comes in and who goes out of his squad.
This is what we as fans need to hang on to over the next few weeks and months. Our manager is building a decent squad which needs our support which, if we get more of what we saw against Birmingham, won't be difficult.
NCISA will be holding their AGM in The Business (Jarrold Stand) on Monday, September 22. The formal proceedings start at 7.30pm and from 6pm onwards there will be an open forum with a panel of players/management/ board members.
As soon as we know exactly who will be on the panel we will post it on our website and the Pinkun message board.
