Norwich City have confirmed the contract of Serbian striker Goran Maric has been terminated by mutual consent.
Former Celta Vigo and Barcelona B forward Maric was signed in the summer after a successful trial during the pre-season tour in Scotland. The 25-year-old scored two goals in three games while on the tour of Scotland, netting against St Johnstone and Airdrie United.
However the 25-year-old has made only one start in competitive action for the first team, in the 1-0 Johnstone's Paint Trophy win over Brentford in September. He made one other competitive appearance for the Canaries, coming on as a substitute in the 4-0 Carling Cup win at Yeovil.
Norwich City boss Paul Lambert told the club's official website: "It's in Goran's best interests to move on and try to progress his career elsewhere. We wish him all the best for the future."
