The pressure is on for both teams as Aston Villa host Norwich City in the Premier League this afternoon – and you can follow all the action live with our reporters before, during and after the clash of the survival rivals at Villa Park.

Little more than seven months ago the Canaries were lifting the Championship trophy at Villa after a 2-0 win on the final day of the season, and a few weeks later the Villans were celebrating promotion themselves, after victory over Derby at Wembley.

This afternoon both teams find themselves in the top-flight relegation zone as they lock horns again, Villa in 18th and three points adrift, Norwich in 19th and a further three points adrift of safety.

City have shown signs of improved performance levels recently but keep letting points slip from their grasp, allowing a lead to slip in four of their last five games to take just two draws from what should have been a far healthier return, losing 2-1 at home to Wolves on Saturday.

The hosts have endured a real nosedive in form though, losing seven of their last nine league games and all of their last four, suffering a shock 3-1 home loss to fellow strugglers Southampton on Saturday. Dean Smith's team are also without key players Tyrone Mings and John McGinn due to injury.
