Norwich City take on Preston in their first home game of the 2020-21 season this afternoon and you can follow all the updates, analysis and reaction in our Matchday Live blog - as 1,000 Canaries fans return to Carrow Road.
The Canaries have been allowed to welcome back a small chunk of their 22,000 season ticket holders, as one of two Championship games being used as a test event as football tries to recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On the pitch Daniel Farke’s team made an encouraging start to life following Premier League relegation, battling their way to a 1-0 win over a spirited Huddersfield last Saturday, thanks to a late goal from young striker Adam Idah.
Preston lost 1-0 at home to last season’s play-off semi-finalists Swansea but made nine changes and won 2-1 at Derby in the second round of the League Cup on Tuesday.
Former City boss Alex Neil has taken North End close to the play-offs in two of his three seasons in charge, despite a limited budget.
