Recently departed Linnets' midfielder Steve Melton has signed for Unibond Premier Division Boston United.

Melton will link up with ex-Lynn boss Tommy Taylor after being released from The Walks last week following Adam Smith's arrival.

“I'm delighted to have Steve onboard,” said Taylor. “He has great quality on the ball and that's what we have been missing in the midfield area. He will compliment the other midfield players that we already have at our disposal and hopefully add another dimension to our team.”

Meanwhile former Lynn wideman Ludovic Quistin has earned an international call up for Caribbean island Guadeloupe. Quistin will compete at the Digicel Cup in October - a qualifying competition for the regional Gold Cup to be held in Canada next summer. Quistin made 24 Lynn appearances under Taylor back in 2004/05. The 24-year-old is currently with Hednesford.
