Theoklitos started out with Victoria side Bulleen Inter Kings in 1998 and then with spells at Bulleen Zebras and South Melbourne before moving to New Zealand side Football Kingz in 2001. Theoklitos made 20 appearances for the Kiwi club before moving to England and Blackpool in 2002. But unfortunately injury restricted his appearances to just three games and he returned home to Australia and former club Bulleen Zebras.
Consistent performances led to him joining Melbourne Victory for their inaugural season in the 2005-06 A-League. During his time at Victory he established himself as one of the best keepers in the country - becoming 2007 Hyandai A-League Goalkeeper of the Year and playing an integral part in his side's Premiership and Grand Final success in 2008-09.
