Millwall boss Neil Harris is relishing the chance to upset Championship leaders Norwich City this weekend.
The Lions sit just two places and four points above the relegation zone following a 2-1 loss at Hull on Tuesday night, following on from a 3-1 home loss to Preston on Saturday.
“I can’t wait for Saturday,” Harris said. “What everyone expects on Saturday at The Den is to see a Millwall performance – not the first half-hour debacle we saw against Preston.
“We’re playing the top side in the division, so we know how tough it will be, but we have to be patient and then hurt them like we did at Carrow Road, where we should have won the game.
“It’s a great one, though, as the stadium atmosphere will be fantastic – Norwich will sell their allocation and get behind their team – and our fans will come wanting to cause an upset and see their team perform.”
That Carrow Road clash in November was something of an epic, with the south London side leading the game twice and 3-2 ahead thanks to a Jed Wallace goal in the 83rd minute – with Teemu Pukki missing a penalty for City.
However, Jordan Rhodes and Pukki both scored in injury-time to snatch the win and spark wild celebrations among Canaries fans, over 3,000 of whom are set to make the trip to The Den.
Now Harris is looking to rediscover the form which saw his team win three on the spin in December, as well as beating Everton 3-2 in the FA Cup last month on their way to securing a home quarter-final against Brighton.

Speaking to Millwall’s website after the defeat at Hull, Harris said: We have to make sure we get back our clean sheet mentality, as conceding five in two games is unacceptable. We must be better at the back, and our anticipation in the final third needs to keep improving.
“There are positives, but I’m not going to stand here and say the boys were outstanding because we lost 3-1 at The Den on Saturday from the first half an hour, and we had a presentation in training because giving poor goals away won’t be tolerated while I’m in charge.
“We’ve proven over the last two months that we’re much better than that, and I won’t have us slipping back to having long poor spells in games.”
