More City woe as kids lose to Saints

Southampton U18 3, Norwich City U18 1: There was further disappointment on the south coast for the Canaries today following last Tuesday's first team defeat at Southampton, it was a similar story for the Academy today as Ricky Martin's side went down 3-1 at the hands of the Saints.

There was further disappointment on the south coast for the Canaries today following last Tuesday's first team defeat at Southampton, it was a similar story for the Academy today as Ricky Martin's side went down 3-1 at the hands of the Saints.

It was a goalless first half with both Kenny Reeves and Danny Kelly having good chances to fire city ahead. Norwich had a second half penalty appeal turned down while Dario Dumic who has recently returned after a successful tournament with the Danish U17s seeing a free kick strike the woodwork. Southampton then broke the Canaries hearts with two goals in two minutes before going on to add a third with Norwich scoring a consolation goal, probably the best goal of the game, a 25 yard free kick from JOE CLARKE. t Norwich City man of the match: Dario Dumic.
