Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is feeling the love for Norwich City and the club’s travelling army of fans.

Mourinho pits his wits against Daniel Farke for the third time this season after a 2-2 draw at Carrow Road in December followed by a 2-1 home win in north London a month later.

The 'Special One' saw enough to know City present a real danger to his team.

"It will be very hard," he said. "I think in the first game at Norwich we were very lucky not to win that match and I think in the match at home we were very lucky to win that match.

"They played so, so well and it was very difficult for us so I expect another difficult game.

"I feel amazing, beautiful that 9,000 supporters are coming from Norwich. That's the FA Cup - 9,000 midweek. I am pretty sure that if we went to Norwich in midweek we would take every ticket possible with our fans too. That's the beauty of the FA Cup so I think a very good game. I repeat what I said after the game when we played here, that's not a team to be where they are. They are fighting to stay in the division and I like their team and I think it is going to be a difficult match for us."

Spurs' difficult season could take another hit if they lose to City, shutting off another avenue of potential silverware for Mourinho in his first few months at the club.

Mourinho has already said on numerous occasions recently that he cannot wait for this season to end as he tries to make his own stamp on his squad, but he has ruled out a summer overhaul.

"Massive changes? No. Not massive changes," he said of potential summer plans.

"First of all because that is not what we think we need. Secondly because of the profile of the club. Third because of what the market is and year after year after year is more difficult.

"So I am not thinking of an overhaul. Of course we need to make our squad better, that is obvious."

Mourinho is renowned for winning silverware early in his spells at most of his previous clubs, but says he would not consider this season a failure if he did not secure a trophy.

"No. Because I come in mid-season, because I come with the train midway, because of so many difficult circumstances I wouldn't feel it at all," he said.

He will be without Hugo Lloris for the game against Norwich, though the goalkeeper is expected to return for Saturday's game at Burnley.

Erik Lamela is expected to return, along with Ryan Sessegnon, but big-hitters Kane, Moussa Sissoko and Son are still missing.

"I am expecting good news before every match," Mourinho said of Lloris.

"(On Monday) I was not sure that he couldn't play (on Wednesday). He can't. I'm going to wait for good news for Saturday, I hope he can.

"It's not the kind of injury where we know he's not ready to play for three, four or five weeks.

"It's not a situation like that. He's not playing (on Wednesday) but I cannot tell you he's not playing Saturday because maybe he can."
