HOMECARE UTD 0, MOUSEHOLD 2: It was a bottom-of-the-table clash in Division One where both teams should have been desperate to get their first point of the season, but it took 14 minutes before one of the teams made a breakthrough.

Early changes in the line-up in the second half didn’t produce much change in the play, but Mousehold finally produced a second goal right on the full-time whistle when Sam Jenkins crossed the ball and curled it in at the far post.

The game was a little lacklustre, with neither side showing their true potential, and while Mousehold came away with the win they had plenty of chances to put the game beyond all doubt that they simply did not take.

It could so easily have dropped to a draw at any point in the second half, with desperate defence and some spectacular misses right in front of goal.
