Mulbarton began their defence of the Mummery Cup with a 2-1 win at Attleborough Town.

Jamie Smith and Danny Self scored for the visitors with Matthew Carr replying for the hosts.

Aylsham found themselves on the wrong end of a 4-1 scoreline at home to Sheringham. James Oliver got Aylsham’s goal but it was to no avail as Tim Cary (2) Jack Crane and an own goal saw the away side go through.

Beccles went nap as they knocked out fellow top-flight side Acle 5-1. Neil Hurren (2), David Shade, Keiran Bale and Lee Glover scored the Beccles goal with Acle’s consolation coming from Simon Peacock.

Blofield moved into round two with a solid 2-0 win over Reepham with Daniel Stobbart and manager Damien Didwell getting on the scoresheet.

Bungay were the biggest winners of the day as they scored eight of the nine goals away at Cromer. A hat-trick from Sonny Atherton and John Riches was added to by Dom Mirner and Shaun Whiteman. Gary Miller scored for Cromer.

Hellesdon won the battle of the promoted sides as they beat Bradenham 2-1. Mac Gee and Jack Hurrell scored for the hosts with Joel Brien bagging for Bradenham.

Hoveton saw off visitors Hindringham with a good 2-0 win to continue their good start to the season. Rhys Cousins and Alex Fitzgerald got the goals.

Mattishall avoided an upset as they saw off Division One Yelverton at home, Xavier Huckle getting the only goal of the game.

Mundford won another all Division One battle as Wymondham were seen off 3-1 at The Glebe. Ian Fancett (2) and Josh Walker scored for the Stags with Ben Welham on target for Wymondham.

Norwich CEYMS remain unbeaten in all competitions this season as they ran out 4-0 winners over Kirkley & Pakefield Reserves with goals from Tom Amis (2), Lewis Swatman and Matthew Adcock.

Scole won 6-1 at home against Loddon. James Harrison (2), David Coleman, Kieran Manning, Dan Ryland and Chris Collins-Reed got the goals. Daniel Ayre replied for Loddon.

St Andrews also avoided an upset as they beat North Walsham at home. A hat-trick from Sam Whiting along with one from Ryan Pye and two own goals saw them win 5-2. Dale Wilton scored both of the Angels goals.

Stalham went down 4-1 at home against visiting Harleston. Lewis Crosby scored for Stalham but goals from Nathan Page (2), Nathan Russell and Nathan Stone saw Harleston progress.

Wroxham Reserves were the other side to score eight as they triumphed 8-2 away at newly-promoted UEA. Owen Betts and Callum Mooney scored for UEA, but they were undone by a hat-trick from Archie Galley, a brace each for Ryan Miles and Jordan Bond and a goal from Jack Parker.

Long Stratton needed extra-time to dispatch lower division Watton. Ross Bilham and Owen Page scored for Stratton with Sam Fincham getting Watton’s goal.

Waveney and Caister was the only tie of the day to go to penalties as Caister won through 4-2 on spot-kicks following a 1-1 draw. George Barnden scored for Caister.
