Narrow defeat for North Elmham Ladies
North Elmham Ladies were narrowly beaten 5-4 by top of table team Mulbarton Belles.
It was a hard-fought, competitive game played in a brilliant spirit by both teams and exciting from start to finish.
North Elmham Ladies took some time to settle into the game and allowed Mulbarton to control the game and by half time found themselves 3-0 down.
After a constructive team talk and a few position changes at half-time by Justin Green the coach North Elmham were soon back in the game when Jess Shand scored an early goal, beating the Mulbarton defence with her speed and skill.
Unfortunately the Mulbarton defence still posed a threat and when they took a 5 -1 lead the game look over.

But, as usual, North Elmham fought back and when Jess scored a second, third and then a fourth they were back in the game.
The game was flowing end to end and both teams battled for everything and when the final whistle went it was relief for Mulbarton and despair for North Elmham.
