Nelson Oliveira wants to spearhead Norwich City’s Championship charge.
The Canaries’ frontman has been touted with rivals Reading and Wolves over the summer but the Portuguese striker is happy at Carrow Road.
Oliveira notched again in the 2-0 friendly win over MSV Duisburg and the 25-year-old is set for a key role again on Friday night in the Canaries’ German tour finale against Arminia Bielefeld (KO 6pm UK).
“I don’t pay attention to it. I am happy in Norwich. I feel settled. I feel I have the support of the people in the club and my team mates and of the fans so I feel very good here,” he said. “To be fair, I don’t think about that too much.
“Of course from last season until this there has been a lot of players come out, a lot come in. It is not the same squad but I think it is a good squad who can achieve its goals. We know it is changing times in the club with some important players leaving. The new guys coming in will help us do a job.”

Oliveira has been impressed with head coach Daniel Farke’s impact since his arrival.
“To be fair he is very good. We work hard but do a lot of work with the ball. All the players prefer that than maybe running. He has done a good job from the first day,” he said. “We are working very hard. Of course we have some rest but it is about the season now. Every striker is different. I think our idea is to control the ball, control the game and I am content with that.

“Whatever the coach wants to do is up to him but I prefer it when we have the ball all the time.”
Oliveira was heavily involved in the action against Duisburg, with Gerrit Nauber red-carded for a crude foul on the forward, before notching another goal for his pre-season tally.
“It is good for confidence,” he said. “I have scored already four goals in pre-season but the most important thing is the team prepares well and we get ready for the season.
“We started against lower teams in the first games and then we play a good side in Duisburg. We are building up. Friday will be another good test and hopefully we can start the season in shape. I think we did very well (against Duisburg). We played with intensity. We controlled the game. We worked hard against a pretty motivated side. The coach told us they were one game away from the start of the season so it was going to be a test for us physically.”
