The Woodfordes' Norfolk Senior Cup Final kicks off at 2.30pm tomorrow at Diss rugby club and will be contested by two of the county's two most up and coming clubs.

Wymondham have been untouchable so far in Eastern Counties One, having almost secured promotion with 16 consecutive league wins already this season.

But despite their impressive form, it is unquestionably Diss who will start as favourites. The south Norfolk club are placed two leagues above their opponents and are chasing a promotion play-off spot in London North East Three.

Diss also benefit from home advantage, but Wymondham are undeterred and are relishing the 'underdog' tag for the first time this season.

“We have a very talented, but young squad and the fixture represents a great opportunity to measure the progress we have made,” said Wymondham coach Nick Greenhall.

“Diss will be very strong up front and that represents a great personal challenge to our pack.”

Wymondham would like to field a full strength side for the final, but will be without two of their key players, Fijian centre Pena Sokia and New Zealand lock Josh Reeves both ruling themselves out of selection.

Also doubtful in the forwards are both Shane and Luke Hickey who have work commitments in Jersey. However the backline will welcome back the return of current Murderers Player of the Month Adam Cuzzens.

Due to continuing concerns regarding recovery from injuries, the final Diss team has not yet been selected, but the squad contains a mixture of experience and youth.

Diss received a bye through to the final following Crusaders' decision to scratch, while Wymondham beat a Norwich XV 25-0 in their semi-final.

Diss Saracens are in action at Mackenders tomorrow against Bury St Edmunds II while the third play Medics away. All kick-offs are at 2.30pm.

On Sunday the Colts are training, while the U17s travel to West Norfolk. The U16s play Beccles at home, and the U15s take on Ely also at home. The U14s train at home, as the U13s travel to Braintree. Completing the line-up, the Minis travel to Bury St Edmunds.
